I happened to read this over Rememberance Day long weekend and 1)could not put it down and 2)am keeping this one-I never keep books!
I also sadly did not know much about the Canadian role in WWII either, and this was a brilliant way to bring light to alot of the history, efforts and sacrifices of the men and women. I appreciate all the efforts put into the research and interviewing Veterans and giving them credit and honorable mention.
It is very fascinating overall, and also being from Sask myself and am now remembering that Aerial photo of our farm we had hanging on the wall at home...a bit of a wow moment.
Looking forward to starting Wildwood in the near future.

After reading Finding Flora and loving it to the point of buying it for everyone I knew I went on a search for anything written by you. A friend of mine lives in Invermere and found Birds Eye View in a second hand book store. I was so excited to read it and was hooked by the story on page 2. I read the whole book in one day. I loved it and I love you and your writing. You are a national treasure to me. One more book to find. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your gift of writing and story telling with us all.
