Hi Jenni, I have to admit, your review had me laughing harder than any review has in quite some time. "A haunted Roomba with abandonment issues" is not a description I ever expected to see applied to the Ghoul Car, but now I can't unsee it. And honestly, you're not entirely wrong. The old Ford is petty, vindictive, impossible to get rid of, and always seems to come back when nobody wants it. I also loved your observations about Bob Jenkins and Tom Carver. Horror would be a much shorter genre if people made sensible decisions, wouldn't it? But then the Ghoul Car would have nobody to torment. What makes me happiest is that you embraced the book for what it is: a fast, dark, slightly absurd horror ride that doesn't take its foot off the gas. The car was always meant to be the real star of the story, and hearing that it had more personality than half the humans is probably the highest compliment it could receive. And since you said you'd read another lap, I have good news: the road continues in Ghoul II and reaches its final destination in Ghoul III: Redemption Road. The Ghoul Car is far from finished with its passengers. Thank you for the fantastic review and for taking the ride. Just remember: if a pristine vintage Ford appears in your driveway tomorrow morning, don't answer when it honks. Best regards, Jack
