Thanks, Bhavya! It is really great so far. Quite a complex storyline, so it needs concentration on audio. But definitely worth a while. Hope it goes this way till the end!

Oh, sorry to hear that, G, though I do see why some readers might not be able to connect with it.

Dorie - Cats&Books :) Oh I loved this one, I can still remember this :)

I love it as well, Dorie! :)

Jayme C (Brunetteslikebookstoo) Coincidentally, someone just recommended this book to me yesterday… Enticing review!

Thibault Busschots Het circus is weer in de stad (it’s a popular Dutch song, the circus is back in town). Glad it was a soulful magical ride. It may have tested your patience a bit, but it was clearly worth the wait. Interesting that you say the author plotted it so well that it felt like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. Curious. Great review, Rosh.

Snjez I've had this book on my shelf for nine years, and every year I think this is the year when I'll finally read it. 😅 I've only read a bit, a few chapters. I'll come back to your review when I finish it, because it will happen this year. 😅 But I'm glad to see those 4 stars. 💕

Katelyn Thornton I need to try this again. I started it and was having a hard time getting into it, but I've heard it's so good!!

message 13: by Teres (new)

Teres It's been so long since I read this, but I recall I throughly enjoyed it!

V.D. Taylor Amazing review! So glad you enjoyed it!!🖤💗

Brooke ☯︎ Glad you enjoyed Rosh! Great review 🖤

message 16: by Josie (new)

Josie I also found the POV and timeline changes confusing at times, so you're not alone 😅 and YES, Poppet and Widget were the highlight of the book! 💕

Karly Wonderful review Rosh, I have had a copy of this on my shelf for I reckon 10+ years in perfect unopened condition. I don’t know what made me buy it but maybe I’ll finally open it up on your recommendation 💕

Akankshya (catching up!) Wonderful review, Rosh! I unfortunately got bored with this a few years ago, but I really do want to read this one. I love historical fantasies, and I had definitely expected a different type of book. I'm happy this ended up having such an interconnected storyline. Excited to try this again now :D

Shelley's Book Nook This sounds like a slow burn done right. Just sit back, read and enjoy the ride. Lovely review, Rosh. 🤗💕

rachelle (m00dreads) Read this some years ago and really enjoyed it so I’m glad you did too! Great review, Rosh ❤️

Persephone's Pomegranate Oh, I've been eyeing this book for a long time. Some of my friends love it, while others despise it. Do I trust your judgment? Yes, I do.
I'm glad that the circus isn't a typical circus found in real life. And the fact that you loved the romance makes me want to read it even more. I know you're often critical of the way romantic relationships are portrayed in fiction.
Awesome review, Rosh!

message 22: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra Hurray, you have read The Night Circus! I am so happy. I loved the circus too, and the journey was magical.
The Starless Sea by the same author is magical too, just sayin' ✨
Fantastic review, Rosh 💖

message 23: by Tanu (new)

Tanu Agree, I think this appeals to a certain type of reader. It wasn't my cuppa but glad it inspired you!

message 24: by AG (new)

AG This is one of my favourite books of all time; so glad to see you enjoyed! I loved 'The Starless Sea' by the same author. It's even more magical, but slower as well.

Dale Harcombe Great review Rosh,💜

message 26: by Angela M (new)

Angela M Read this a long time ago. Thanks for bringing it back to me . Great review , Rosh.

message 27: by Srivalli (new)

Srivalli (Semi-Hiatus) Oh, this sounds awesome. Needs patience, but when an intricate plot delivers, you know the author did the foundation right and spent time ironing out the details.
Since I don't see it in my TBR, adding it right away. Brilliant review, Rosh. 💝

message 28: by Mark (new)

Mark Porton Another wonderful review Rosh - I love the name "Poppet", my Mum (RIP) used to call my girls "Poppet", when they were little 🥹. Thanks for inducing a lovely memory, enjoyed your review even if this book isn't for me! 🤗🎈⚽

message 29: by Darla (new)

Darla An amazing review, Rosh. I may have to add this one back onto my TBR.
