For middle-grade readers — especially reluctant readers — would a book feel more exciting if it had an immersive website connected to the story?
I’m talking about things like opening and closing doors, elevator buttons, hidden clues, hospital files, staff warnings, secret pages, and mystery pieces that make the world feel real.
Would that make a kid more likely to read the book, or would it feel like too much extra?
