Happy listening Nancy! ☺️
So glad this was a win! I think I know one of the books you struggled with recently by the author, I had issues with that one too.
Great review!
I love books that have little puzzles and especially twists that you don’t see coming. Glad this one kept you on your toes, even if you were frustrated a bit!
❤️ Fantastic review Nancy!! Happy this one was a win for you, even with the multiple authors!! And love that you found a new to you author with a long backlist that you like! Love when this happens, feels like striking gold to me!! : )
Great review, Nancy! You have me intrigued! It's been a long time since I've read Barker, will have to take a look at this one! :)
I’m usually not a fan of collaborations either but the past few I’ve had have been really good. I’m glad this one was as well. An unseen twist is an added plus( see what I did there with the math😂) Terrific review!
Fantastic review, Nancy! I’m glad you loved this. Skipping blurbs is such a smart move. I'm trying to do the same and only read GR friend’s reviews since I've been burned by too many untagged spoilers lately.
It is good to see that both author's voices meshed in this one Nancy. I am also hesitant about multiple author reads, as well. Thank you for this compelling review. ☺️

Me too, Jayme! I was getting a little worried after the last two I read. ❣️

Great review!"
I remember you and I both struggled with that one, Marta. This one was much better for me. 🩶

I love a good puzzle and surprisingly enjoyed Squid Game (both the fictional show and the real game show) when I was forced to watch it with my kids, so this one worked for me.
Nancy I love all the stars and that the multiple writers worked out! Wonderful review, it so intriguing to read about a different genre than romance which is what I mainly read. Lately I am definitely curious about crime/thriller.
Nancy I loved your review and how you felt, I definitely agree. This was a terrific book and the numbers/math angle was terrific. I didn't know about JD Barker before but he is definitely an author I am going to read again
Short chapters and likeable characters make the story enjoyable imo :) so glad Barker was able to redeem himself with this book! Yay! Unfortunately, numbers have always frustrated me :( Wonderful review, Nancy 🤩👌📚
I’m happy this worked out for you Nancy, especially with not enjoying Barker’s last books and being written by 2 authors. And it’s always nice when the narrator does an amazing job! Lovely review Nancy ❤️❤️
I'd think that thrillers that incorporate complex puzzles and math would present a unique challenge for the authors. ... Thanks for sharing how this one handled it.🤗

You know I saw and appreciated what you did there, Dutchie! 🤣
This sounds fantastic, Nancy! I can only imagine how much better listening to the audiobook made your overall experience, too. Phenomenal review! ♥︎
I couldn't agree more! Blurbs always reveal too much of books nowadays 😭 and some of your reviews have made my TBR grow 🤭 this one seems quite interesting so I might get it! Lovely review Nancy ❤️
Nancy, we are very different. I hate math. lol I do like the premise of the book. I am interested. Great review :)

Thanks, Sara! Unfortunately, they have ruined quite a few books for me too.

Yes, I haven't had much luck with co-authored books, so this was a pleasant surprise. Thanks, Karen! 😊
I'm with you on not reading blurbs these days. Not that some reviews are better but at least they are more reliable.
It's good that the two authors' voices blended well in this case. Great review, Nancy! ❤️
