Dilexa The tension is killing me! Max thinks he's protecting Goldie by keeping his distance, but his past is shrouded in mystery. What exactly happened in his past?

message 2: by FAITH (new)

FAITH I read that her husband Parker is her true hero. Has she ever based one of her main lawman heroes directly on him?

message 3: by KYLE (new)

KYLE She sold short stories to Woman’s World first! As an aspiring writer in this group, I’d love to know what the biggest difference is between writing short fiction and a full romantic suspense novel.

message 4: by MATHEW (new)

MATHEW Montana is truly a character in itself in her books. Does she physically go scout out locations before she creates a fictional town like Dry Gulch?

message 5: by NATALIE (new)

NATALIE With several series optioned for movies, who would be her dream cast for Goldie and Max if Targeting the Sheriff went to the big screen?

message 6: by GRACE (new)

GRACE The Montana atmosphere is so vivid! An official Reading Companion featuring a curated playlist and setting lookbook would completely elevate the experience, especially for audiobook listeners who want a visual guide to Dry Gulch while driving.

Hi Bella, I write by the seat of my pants. I never know what is going to happen until I start writing. The characters tell me the story as I go. I've always written this way and couldn't plot a story first even with a gun to my head. :) BJ

I love short stories because I can capture a moment in the characters lives--hopefully an interesting one. Longer books require living with the characters over a few months. That's why I like writing series. I get to know the family of the main characters and they want to tell their stories--and I want to write them. BJ

Actually I do. I did a longer book series called, Powder River. I spent some time there getting a feel for the area. I always visit places I write books about. Going there helps me see it when I start writing. It also helps not to make mistakes that readers always catch. :) BJ
