Aaron Ryan Wow, this is certainly one of the most nitpicky reviews I've ever received, throwing the baby out with the bathwater, assuming FAR too much of my intense research, editing, editor, heart, passion, desired mystery, as well as the fact that this is clearly Volume ONE of an established saga... some of the mystery of which is intentionally (and this is a standard industry approach when dealing with a series) revealed in later chapters. Books, like life, should reflect a journey of discovery. I'm sorry that you wanted all of the details on a silver platter from the outset, and I'm sorry that you felt the need to attack a book so egregiously (and, ahem, comprehensively, with this overlong review splat). In the future, might I suggest that you open your eyes and your heart to the theme of the books you read, and not assume so much. We, as authors, are creators, and we take great time - and great pains - to write our books with finesse, effort, and heart. Your review clearly assumes I just slapped this together. Incorrect. I hired a professional editor. I researched all my details using Google Maps, Google Street View, Google itself, as well as consulting with medical and ER personnel, an active duty Army Sergeant, a retired Army Chopper pilot, a retired 35-year aircraft carrier captain, an active duty Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, two senior Airmen in the Air Force, etc., and it's gone through many, many, many eyes. One word ("fills") slips through? Oh well. Apparently an f instead of an h was reason enough to make your blood boil. I'll instead let the overwhelming amount of positive reviews speak for themselves and drown out your choir. As a seasoned writer and publisher of over 50 books, I've worked very hard to establish a catalog and reputation that you seem, for whatever reason, hellbent on smearing. Good luck and take care.
