Shubham Jain Hello everyone,

My name is Shubham, and I'd like to introduce my book, Solitude.
Although it is categorized as horror, I never really set out to write a traditional horror book. What interested me more was loneliness, longing, obsession, grief, and the strange inner worlds that many quiet people carry within themselves.

The book consists of four interconnected stories, each following an ordinary person searching for connection in their own way—a homemaker struggling with invisibility, a queer man wrestling with desire and isolation, a woman seeking refuge in the mountains, and a heartbroken traveller trying to escape his past. Along the way, each of them encounters something supernatural, unsettling, or difficult to explain.

The horror in these stories comes as much from the human mind as it does from ghosts, folklore, and the paranormal. In that sense, it is psychological horror as much as supernatural horror.

As an introvert myself, many of these stories were inspired by emotions I have experienced personally, as well as by people I have met over the years. I have always been fascinated by those who feel deeply but struggle to express themselves openly. Solitude is, in many ways, a tribute to those inner lives.

If you enjoy atmospheric horror, psychological fiction, folklore, or stories that linger after the final page, I would be honoured if you gave it a look. The book is available for reading on Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
More than anything, I would love to hear honest thoughts from readers. What worked for you, what didn't, what stayed with you, and what you interpreted differently than I intended.

Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction.
Warm regards,
Shubham Jain
