As someone who is naturally introverted, I've always been drawn to stories about people living rich inner lives—people who feel deeply, carry complicated emotions, and don't always fit comfortably into the world around them. That fascination eventually inspired me to write my own debut horror collection, Solitude. While it's a supernatural and psychological horror book, it's really about loneliness, desire, identity, grief, and the hidden emotional worlds people carry within them. One of the stories follows a queer protagonist navigating longing, isolation, and connection, while the others focus on characters who are often overlooked, unheard, or struggling to find their place in the world.
