Impressive review, Rosh! ;)
Mother Mary and Marilyn Monroe are two very different people. Unusual to read them in the same sentence, let alone as characters in the same story. Sounds like this story came up with a good alternative ending for Marilyn in particular. Wonder how Flora fits into all this, and especially what connects these characters. Great review, Rosh. Sounds like you found quite a fascinating read. Shame the titles were sometimes also spoiler though.
I am intrigued! I recently learned that Marilyn was an avid reader of classic literature! And, I enjoyed “End of Story”. I will have to look for this one. Enticing review!
Absolutely love Marilyn Monroe so I am extremely intrigued by this book! So happy you enjoyed this book, Rosh!
Who would have thought that Mother Mary and Marilyn Monroe would end up being book buddies! I am unabashedly a Marilyn Monroe fan. Terrific review, Rosh!
Fantabulous review, Rosh. This sounds ah-mazing! Adding. 🤗💕
P.S. Thank you for sharing the tidbit about your childhood book and thoughts on MM. Enjoy the movie again! 🍿🎞️❤️
This one sounds incredibly intriguing. Two absolute forces of nature from completely opposite ends of history. Great review! 💕
Whoa, what an incredible premise! I, too, had a fascination with Marilyn Monroe. There are so many rumors surrounding her. Do you believe in the rumor that the Kennedys had her killed? I have to admit, the circumstances surrounding her overdose are very strange. I don't think I've ever read a book where Mother Mary made such an apparance. I don't like that swearing was involved when referencing her. Although I have to admit I sometimes swear and say things I shouldn't. We're all human. lol
Amazing review, Rosh.
Super review! What a fantastic idea. It's quite incredible how iconic Marilyn Monroe has become even after all these years.
Oh, what a clever premise! And it seems to be executed pretty well. Wonderful review, Rosh. 💝 After reading your review, I kinda feel like the cover doesn't exactly fit the book(?). IDK!

Yes indeed, that's why I was intrigued the minute I read the blurb. It's such a creative combination. The author did a great job bringing everything together.
Thanks, Thibault! I wouldn't say no to more such reads. 😊

Yes! I learnt this fact only by reading this novel! I was astounded!
I hope you too will enjoy this if you give it a go. Thanks, Jayme! 💖
Nora wrote: "Absolutely love Marilyn Monroe so I am extremely intrigued by this book! So happy you enjoyed this book, Rosh!"
I'm happy to hear that, Nora! She was such a radiant woman but the world sadly couldn't see beyond her physical appearance.
Thank you so much!
Angela wrote: "Who would have thought that Mother Mary and Marilyn Monroe would end up being book buddies! I am unabashedly a Marilyn Monroe fan. Terrific review, Rosh!"
Right? I was so surprised when I read the blurb!
Marilyn Monroe is evergreen for a reason!
Thanks, Angela!

Thanks, Jen! It was such an unusual story combining facts and fantasy. Really creative!
Jaidee wrote: "I have never heard of Marilyn described as ethereal...very kewl perspective...."
Really? She's always seemed ethereal to me, probably because I first saw her photo in my childhood when I couldn't see anyone through the lens of physical appearance.
Thanks, Jaidee! Good to be considered kewl in any way by someone 😂

Yes indeed, so many rumours! I've not heard that about the Kennedys though. People just enjoy making conspiracy theories so sometimes, we don't even know how much is true.
Haha, we are indeed human, and are allowed to slip. But not fictional characters. 😉
Thanks, Perse!

Jenny wrote: "Super review! What a fantastic idea. It's quite incredible how iconic Marilyn Monroe has become even after all these years."
Thanks so much, Jenny! I wish she had lived long enough to see her lasting popularity. Then again, a part of me also feels that she's so iconic because of her early passing, just like James Dean.

Thanks, Sri!💖 It was a really creative concept.
Hnmm, I get what you mean. The blonde hair is Marilyn Monroe'a iconic look, but I'm not sure if the ring around it is supposed to indicate a Marian halo. We usually sketch her with a crown of stars, so this might be a variant. 🤔
What an interesting concept. I love that the author tried to give her the ending she didn’t get in real life because she definitely deserved better.❤️
Ah, what a great premise! I also wish Marilyn Monroe would have had a different ending in real life. Fantastic review, Rosh! 💖

I guessed the look, but had to google the crown after reading your reply. It is actually pretty with the stars. Maybe they should have retained a few. It looks more like a spiked collar now. 😬

I know what you mean! 😬 Had I not known the Mother Mary connection from the blurb, I too wouldn't have connected this to her!
