Brilliant review, Mark. I'm glad you enjoy it, but I'm not sure I'm going to read another Russo's novel after Empire Falls which I found overwritten and inflated.

Hey Diane, I've read of his - with mixed experiences. Nobody's Fool and Bridge of Sighs were a struggle, but this one and Shitshow were very good I think. What's your favourite?? 🤗⚽⚽

I loved all the "Fool" books starring Sully Sullivan, he's one of my favorite fictional characters. But Straight Man is pretty damn funny.

Another author I want to read but haven’t yet. Great review, Mark.

Thanks heaps Antoinette - well, he's pretty good. I've read 4 of his now - 2 were good and the other 2 not so good, so I've had mixed experiences with Russo 🤗⚽⚽⚽
