Ha ha, thanks! That's my (completely made up by me) reading challenge that I'm doing this year and I couldn't think of anything else to call it. 😆

Why, thank you! 😆 I don't know which generation's slang "amazeballs" came from, but it's a great word, lol.

Outstanding review, Jamie! This sounds like a riot! My cats talk plenty when they want to eat! And you are not alone, our inn is also full to capacity.😂 But we wouldn't trade the current resident fur monsters for the world. On that note, I'm glad you had a lot of fun with this! ♥︎
Sorry the blurb perhaps revealed a bit too much, but I’m glad it still worked well for you. Cool that your house is already filled with animals waiting to be served their dinner. You could always try teaching one of them how to talk :) Good review, Jamie.

Thank you, Tracy! 💕 I do have one cat who talks plenty (and loudly!) when she wants to eat, and it's kind of hilarious because her meow sounds like "hello?" So she walks around in circles yelling "HELLO?" until we feed her, lol. It's slightly obnoxious, but, yeah, I wouldn't trade them for anything! This was definitely a really fun read, especially if you like talking cats! 😆

It's just one of those books that's so cozy and wholesome that you can't help but know how it's going to end, you know? We're down to a reasonable number of animals at this point (3 cats and a dog), but there have been some points when it's been a zoo! I do have one cat who already yells "HELLO?" when she wants fed, lol. Thank you, Thibault! 😊
I would love a talking cat friend as well. Like desperately. Stunning review Jamie! I'm happy this was a fun read for you.
Jamie, what is it with you and talking animals 😄 I love it. My cat talks to me all the time, but I can't understand him. 😄 He also talks to birds. He makes weird noises when talking to birds and it's the funniest thing ever. Maybe it's a good thing we can't understand cats. They are probably hurling insults at us and we're like 'aww, what are you trying to say baby.' 😄
I need to check the synopsis to figure out the joke. Great review, Jamie.
How did you know I needed a cosy heartwarming entertaining, feel-good escape from the real world right now? I've literally been seeking this. I'll also put forth another recommendation for you if you want more of this vibe, that I'm currently reading: Hopeless Necromantic, I am late reading and reviewing it past publish date but it still may be able on NG, not sure. I love the joke and your train of thought how dare the blurb get to it before you! Yay for talking cats! A very feel good and entertaining review Jamie!❤️

I do love me some talking animals, lol. Your cat sounds super cute ... I wonder how the birds feel about being talked to by a cat? 😆 I've mentioned it above, but I have a cat who screams "HELLO?" at me every morning, and it's adorable but also sometimes it's not, ha ha. But, yeah, I bet my cats have lots of things to say to me and it's probably not all nice. 😆 Thank you, Persephone! 💕

I can definitely relate ... I really needed a cozy and heartwarming read, so this book was perfect timing! If you decide to give it a read it I'll be interested to hear what you think. Hopeless Necromatic does sound really cute, so I'll have to keep it on the radar. So many books, too little time! 😆 Thanks so much, Esta! 💕 I hope that your current reads are delightful escapes from the real world.

I googled it, and apparently cats make noises at birds because of 'a mix of intense predatory excitement and frustration from seeing prey they cannot reach.'
My cat doesn't have a lot of reason to be frustrated because he's caught countless birds over the years. We only let him out during the daytime, and he never leaves the property (we literally trained him to never jump over the fence). The problem is, we have a lot of trees and cypresses on our property, which means we get a lot of birds. I don't know how he does it, but the ginger bastard is a natural predator. Oh, well. The poor guy has been neutered since he was a couple of months old, he's now over 11, and his only joy in life is causing mayhem.

That makes sense. My cats are entirely indoors and have the predatory instincts of a doorknob, but they do sometimes squeak when they're trying to catch a leaf from the wrong side of the glass door, lol. My greyhound, on the other hand, is a cold-blooded bunny killer 🐇😩 and when we let her out at night we have to chase the rabbits out of the yard first. Ginger cats (and black cats) are the best! I love that yours is still causing mayhem at 11! 😆

Predatory instincts of a doorknob. LMAO My cat could teach your cats a thing or two about murder. lol He can be very sweet and cuddly, but he's also mauled me a couple of times over the years. He only hunts birds for fun. He would never eat anything raw or boney. He is a very picky eater, only gets the best quality food, and has a special syrup for immunity. I guess he's like most human hunters in that he only hunts for sport.
Btw your dog killing bunnies made me sad because the best pet I ever had was a bunny. 😭 He behaved like a little dog.
This looks like a lot of fun... and anyway, you had me at "talking (kind of) cat" :-) Alas, not available to request in the UK yet :-( But I'll keep my eye out for it. Great review, Jamie!

My current cats are the non-mauling type, but I've definitely had a few of those over the years. 😆 Ha ha, yours sounds spoiled ... which I can totally relate to, because my hound's pickiness is legendary. They definitely lucked out with this whole domestication thing. 😆
The greyhound has only killed one bunny if that makes it any better — we learned a very traumatic lesson after the first one. She'll still chase them if she sees one we've failed to scare out of the yard, but she's easily called off and is generally more interested in eating tasty grass than hunting. I love bunnies too, so I try to minimize the bunny harm. I'd love to have one as a pet someday!

Thank you, Ian! 😊 It's not fine literature but it's a nice cozy story, and it's definitely one to read if you're looking for something uplifting. I hope it's made available to you soon, and that you love it if/when you do give it a read!
