Hi and welcome! :) I’m Shanique Montgomery, author of the children’s book “Yes, Darling. Anything.” I started this group because I want to connect with fellow writers and individuals who share a love for children’s books. I’m excited to jibber jabber with other authors, illustrators, and fellow book lovers responsible for pre-school and elementary age readers. I also have a daughter who is ten that reads a bunch, and while she’s growing up fast; she still loves a good picture book just like her Momma. Let’s follow each other and become Goodreads buddies!

Hi everyone, I’m Afra. I specialize in professional book formatting for self publishing authors. I’ve worked on fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books, making sure they meet KDP and print requirements.

I’ll be sharing helpful formatting tips here and learning from you all as well. If anyone is preparing a manuscript for publication and feels stuck with layout issues, feel free to reach out.

I’m Alexandra P. Alex, and I write gentle children’s stories, playful coloring books, and lighthearted personal development books designed to bring joy, calm, and imagination into everyday life.

My children’s stories follow curious characters who discover the world through small adventures, humor, and kindness, encouraging creativity and emotional connection. For adults, I create positive affirmation books that focus on simplicity, laughter, and realistic moments of self-care—without pressure or perfection.

I’m still at the beginning of my journey as an author, and while I love writing and creating, I’m learning how to reach readers who will enjoy my work. I’m excited to share my stories, connect with parents, teachers, and fellow authors, and receive feedback that helps me grow.
