Rod, you are good, you know your stuff. You are right on most counts With Fitzgerald it is true that scene happened later, but I included it to show how admired Red Brick was. With Silas, I was adding so many great people who deserved to be in the book, but I didn't want to burden the reader. So, things like that, I made choices. I hope it didn't ruin the reading for you? The goal of the flashbacks were to ease the reader into the wild wild abuse she endured. I had to break it up. No one believed her either.
