Happy reading Caz. I love the intense stare of the character on the cover.

Thank you! I’m just hoping the character is less intense inside the book than on the cover.

Caz!! A creepy, slow burn horror story can be so fun & scary!
Yes, I thought the author did a great job of building suspense and maintaining that unsettling feeling throughout the story. Thanks so much for reading and commenting.
Awesome review, Caz! This sounds right up my alley—I love when supernatural elements are woven into local folklore. 😊

That’s the kind of thing I really enjoy. When the supernatural is rooted in local folklore it feels like it actually belongs there, not just added in for effect. And I think it’s better when it’s not fully explained—it leaves more to the imagination and makes it creepier. 💛

The cover of the book is actually creepy 😭😂
It’s not just a book — it’s a psychological warm-up 😂 That said, the cover does fit the story really well 🫣💛

I’m glad this was a great read. It’s sounds positively thrilling! The cover doesn’t help matters much 😭 Lovely review, Caz 💗
The combo of sirens and folk horror sounds so intriguing! Ngl the eyes on the cover creep me out a bit, but I’m sure that’s the point 😅 lovely review beautiful 🩷🩷
I adore small town settings, mostly because of the atmosphere! Pour some folk elements into the mix and you have my attention. Your review definitely makes me intrigued, Caz. Wonderfully written! 🖤🖤

. That one is a coming-of-age vampire novel heavily influenced for my love of the movie The Lost Boys.
Have a great summer!
I'm not sure I've read much in the way of folk horror, but this sounds intriguing. Love a little creeping dread. Great review, Caz, I'm glad you had a good time with it! ♡♡
