This is one of the truest, rawest things I've read in very long time. Which is to say I related to almost every bit of it, and I wish I could have articulated it half so well as the author has.

"No one is coming to save us." It's on us to save ourselves, and that is especialy true for writers. We pull ourselves out of that hellscape one word, one sentence, one sweet paragraph at a time.

I couldn't agree more! Your word-craft was extraordinarily good, IMO. You led us as readers through your points with care and humor---dark humor as well as lighter. It is not easy to do, but it's clear that you've been polishing your craft for a long time. I'm looking forward to reading more!
