Great review, Sri! ❤️ The cover is the first thing that caught my eye when I saw your update. It's good to see a book cover actually depict the MCs as per their age. Most romances with older protagonists have art depicting them younger.
This book had a lot of correct ingredients but ended up butchering the recipe. I hope the next one in the series does a better job.

Exactly! It had so many things in its favor, but the execution didn't use them correctly. I hope so too! The blurb for it is out.
Quite a few tropes indeed. Will also admit, first time I heard about the silver fox trope, I thought it was about an actual fox. Like a shape shifter who can turn into a fox. I was so disappointed when I found out what it actually was. Also, good point about wanting to see the female main character in action. So her competence is shown rather than told. Good review, Srivalli.
The premise and all the tropes used sound really good actually (now I know why you went out and got the book). It’s just too bad that it didn’t mesh properly throughout the story. Hopefully the next book will be better if you decide to read it. Terrific review, Srivalli! 💗

😂😂 So so innocent, Thibault! Not a bad idea, though. A silver fox who can shapeshift into a fox. That could be an interesting shifter romance.
