I love Gaddis and have read all his work. I still remember going to the 92st St Y to hear “Gaddis and Gass.” Gaddis refused to say anything about his work - or anything at all! - so I got treated to the remarkably verbose Gas’s going on and on about how Gaddis was one of the great writers of our time. I view him and Pynchon as the great 20th century American novelists, and I think it’s playing out that way (although perhaps Wallace will join them.) I absolutely must get these books. Great review Jeff!
