I mostly read bestselling fiction and nonfiction, but I also appreciate indie books that deserve more recognition, so I wanted to recommend "The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman" by Robin Gregory.
It’s a beautifully written magical realism novel set in early 1900s California, following a boy named Moojie who feels out of place in the world and ends up on a journey filled with mystery, wonder, heartbreak, and hope. The atmosphere feels dreamlike and whimsical at times while still carrying a lot of emotional depth.
If you enjoy unusual, thought-provoking stories with fairytale vibes, spirituality, and coming-of-age themes, this one is definitely worth checking out. This book and its author deserves a lot of love and support. The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman
