This sounds enticing! Is it a true story?
This sounds fun! I can tell you the specter of the Bar was scary enough as a 3L without finding out I had a secret father.

No-- It's a novel. Oh dear, I'd better revise the review to make that clear. Thanks for alerting me.

LOL about taking the bar... I didn't realize you went to law school. (And the pun is that the possible father was -- at the time of pregnancy -- a bartender.)

I am surprised you didn't know I am a lawyer. Granted I no longer practice, I just make new lawyers now, but I'm still a lawyer. I am going to take that as a good thing (you not knowing). I guess I don't discuss my work too much. And that is quite a pun.

Aww...that's fine to me sure; I checked it out shortly afterwards here anyway to find out more. I hadn't realized you are/were a lawyer as well :) I would be drawn to stories that you could relate to with your profession; perhaps you would enjoy this story I recently read "The Accused" by Cara Putman who is an actual lawyer as well... it was excellent; I gained some insights into the world of law which was fascinating:) I am drawn to (at times) stories about medicine, by or about nurses to see if realistic and to be able to relate.....I am an RN by the way. I have read Amanda Skenadore ( ? spelling now offhand!) as she is a nurse; great story! , a couple by doctor authors; Michael Palmer's were chilling but a bit grisly, Robin Cook's were more of a "woman hating/chauvinistic sort of" ...only read those last two authors eons+++ ago and never bothered since. Anyway; perhaps tmi but felt chatty I guess ...lol
Thank you for being chatty! I love getting to know (even a little bit) about the people who read my reviews and also those who read the novels I write... But I do need to correct something: I'm not a lawyer. One of the people who commented on my review went to law school, which I didn't know. My first career was as a journalist and nonfiction author, and now I write novels. Nice to meet you a little more, Cindy! (PS My daughter-in-law is also an RN)
