This must have been so hard to read. How did you do it? (I've done a lot of research into domestic psychological abuse for my newest novel, "Her Daughter," and I keep having to point down what I'm reading.) Then, the end of your review hints at a very disturbing ongoing generational abuse: The daughter rightly blames the father, but is she also blaming the mother? Is there a way that she in fact sides with the father? This may seem unbelievable, but it is often a danger in these situations.
