message 6: by Swathi (new)

Swathi LITERALLY

message 7: by Alisha (new)

Alisha Crane Ahahahahah I cackled!

message 8: by Matseliso (new)

Matseliso Monosi She's already picked one. The author is just forcing things with Oro and this whole love triangle

message 12: by vacuity (last edited Dec 03, 2025 11:37AM) (new)

vacuity Thank you friend for this review! It resonates so much and sadly I was just so hopefully beyond delulu that just maybe Isla would have chosen Oro 🥺

*edited for spelling typo of behind to beyond lol

message 13: by Daniel (new)

Daniel corrales Poor oro!

message 14: by 🎀Read (new)

🎀Read With Me🎀 I am so done. I already knew I would be disappointed since it was pretty obvious she’d pick… him, but I still had hopes the choice would have been the more sensible one… jokes on me I guess 🤡.

message 15: by Kaitlyn (new)

Kaitlyn Hackett Or her choosing neither of them honestly

message 16: by Amy (new)

Amy Walmart Rhysand had me screaminggggg

message 17: by Kari (new)

Kari Cieszkiewicz Am I the only one that just wants Grim & Oro to kiss and make up and then just portal off together…

message 18: by Hannah (new)

Hannah oro and grim definitely needed to kiss and all three actually team up to defeat the bad people. this is the most accurate book review for this book that i feel! i literally just finished it and im so pissed off it’s not even funny! rosie i feel so seen with your feelings about this book 🫶🏼

message 19: by Ghost (new)

Ghost Flower Honestly, u are sooo right. I read lightlark and nightbane and they are good books but skyshade got so so boring and isla got so annoying that i DNF'ed it. isla is such a red flag and is so annoying that she kinda reminds me of belly from TSITP. why not just kill her instead and i think this series would have been a 5 star series if it were a trilogy. making it a 5 book with novella's is just too much. also thanks for this review now i know who won and I'll also wanna read the next review u write of the last book in the series :)

message 20: by Ree (new)

Ree The fact that I haven’t even read this yet and your comment made me want to read it just so I can relate to u lmfao, I’ll come back (I did enjoy the other books purely because I was so entertained and didn’t have to use my brain, throw rocks at me if you must)😭😭

message 21: by Noorhana (new)

Noorhana My favorite juice is Team oro Tears🫦

message 22: by Gabriela (new)

Gabriela Schroer Even though I am a die hard Grim fan, i couldn’t agree more. You are so fucking funny; best review I ever read

message 23: by Lauren (new)

Lauren I lost it at Walmart Rhysand 🤣🤣🤣

message 24: by Brittney (new)

Brittney Sullivan Walmart Rhysand SENT me. I’m so sick of Grim though and have always been an Oro fan from the start but I stg he deserves better than Isla 😂

message 25: by Jenna (new)

Jenna I need to know where to find the team oro group chat because after that ending Grim is NOT it.

message 26: by TheRoseBookmark (new)

TheRoseBookmark AAhhahahahahhahahahahah

message 27: by liz (new)

liz This is legitimately the greatest review of all time thank you

message 28: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Princessa Girliepop Rosie, you wrote the greatest review of all time, thank you for your effort❤️ So HOW can we form a #TeamOro group chat/ support group for us Oro girlies, because we NEED IT, I would love to chat with other people who understand the love for Oro

message 29: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Burr I’m screaming I love grim but this is 10000% accurate

message 30: by soph (new)

soph this review is making me laugh like an old man for lost his dentures at family thanksgiving

message 31: by Pragya (new)

Pragya Crown So grim is her final decision?... Like is there any chance she would choose oro?

message 32: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Cuartas Best review of all time lol

message 33: by Alexandria (new)

Alexandria I just finished, and I fear I have wasted my time on just about every one of these books. When I realized earlier today that there’s a fifth book planned for a concept that should have been MAYBE three books, I lost it. I’m out. There is too little life left and too many books on my TBR to be wasting time on this

message 34: by Aamna (new)

Aamna I quit after Nightshade when it became obvious that Walmart Rhysand was endgame (finally, another team Oro! I didn’t know those existed). I don’t know how this series became famous except for all the talk of the tropes. It’s so stereotypically booktok that people love it when it SUCKS. But yeah. Team Oro for life!

✶ ✶ Hummingbird ✶ ✶ The amnesia plot is the least interesting plot

message 36: by Stella (new)

Stella thank you for this I literally needed this so bad. like I'm only halfway through and I'm dying her and oro were SO MUCH BETTER. like can we PLEASE get rid of Walmart rysander PLEASE?

message 37: by hisogwa (new)

hisogwa I love this review so much hahaha it’s everything I feel about the book

message 38: by Zainish (new)

Zainish Aziz^^ Didn’t want to read the book and your review is so much better than the book could’ve ever been!

message 39: by Adeline;) (new)

Adeline;) This review is so funny! I read the first three book and I really didn’t want to read this one and the Oro/Grim book but I was still interested enough to read someone’s opinion so thanks for making a nice summary!

message 40: by Issabella (new)

Issabella M Ur so strong. I could never get through crowntide when I had to drag myself across the 400 pages that was skyshade with a faulty knife on a smooth mountain with a fifty foot drop

message 41: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Mutterer Team Oro ALLLLLLL day!!

message 42: by Hanna (new)

Hanna Thank you for your service of this review🫡 I quit after book 3 when she changed it from a trilogy to 5 books because I was so irate, but similarly to you, I am a completionist. This was everything I needed😂

message 43: by Jada (new)

Jada B saved me from reading this. I probably wasnt anyway, but now im 1000% not

message 44: by Liesbetweenpages (new)

Liesbetweenpages You've convinced me not to finish Skyshade and to not start grim&oro and crowntide lol. Lightlark & nightbane were fun, mostly lightlark! But tbh i already didn't wanna finish skyshade and now i'n convinced. I love Alex and her writing but this series should've been a trilogy imo 😅 bc Summer in the city was NICE, Lightlark was nice & Nightbane as well tho 😅 and i am still excited to start Starside so i still have hopes 😂💛

message 45: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Gant This review is exactly how I felt after finishing it. Honestly at this point what is Oro’s purpose ? I just plain feel terrible for that man

message 46: by Katie (new)

Katie I’ll never read this series because it just doesn’t strike my fancy. Your review reminded me of this. Also “Walmart Rhysand” and “cucked” I’m screaming 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

message 47: by Vera (new)

Vera Shaw Thank you for this review. I enjoyed Lightlark (it was the 2nd ever romantasy book I read). Then books 2 and 3 just kept going downhill. Isla can't make a single decision, hasn't grown as a person or learned a damn thing, and the plot is between repetitive and fan fic.

That being said, here I am hate listening to the audiobook. But if I fall asleep and wake up hours/chapters later I'm not going back.

message 48: by D. (new)

D. Schutz Walmart Rhysand is a great term!!! I’m with you: this series might have been good if it had been a trilogy… now it’s just repetitive and boring and it’s dulling even the characters I originally liked 🙄

message 49: by Nona (new)

Nona this review had me laughing out loud thank you so much lol

message 50: by Casey (new)

Casey Dixon I enjoyed this review more than the book
