Peter Martiniak Hello all,

I'd like to share with you my bold reinterpretation of the ancient myth of Atalanta, hoping for an honest review in exchange for the full e-book.

LEAINA features themes like female empowerment, philosophical idealism, sapphic love, trauma and resilience, and glorification of women.

The style is deliberately elevated and archaic, resembling a classical epic rather than modern retelling, rich and formal, not fast-paced (ideal for readers who enjoy Madeline Miller, Natalie Haynes, or literary mythology).

Content notes: violence, childhood trauma, sapphic themes, mature philosophical content

Thank you in advance! ♥

Dear Peter,

Thank you for introducing your book- it sounds interesting! May I ask what made you choose "glorification of women" as one of the main angles?

And also, what do you mean by " mature philosophical content"?

Thank you :)

Jasmine

It would be so cynical to infer pandering
to a specific audience that likes to read
and has plenty of spare time and disposable income.

So that couldn't be it.
Must be some other reason.

Also note that Plato discussed Atlantis, not Atlanta,
which was founded in 1835 as a railroad hub
and named for the Western and Atlantic Railroad.

Dear Jasmine,

Thank you for your interest :) I chose "glorification of women" because that book is all about women (mortal heroines and goddesses) and womanhood itself. As I briefly mention in the book blurb, I created a philosophical concept of "The Overwoman" - in retelling Atalanta's myth, I tried to portray her not only as a great mortal heroine, but also as an immortal archetype.
However, the truth also is, I always wished to create a strong female protagonist I'd fall in love with (and that happened). :)
By "mature philosophical content" I meant some deeper existentialist topics, often reminiscent of themes of ancient tragedies, which might not be easy reading.

Thank you again Jasmine, I really appreciate the interest.
Peter
