Morgan Smith This style of novel has many many names but nothing completely official yet.

I prefer to call it split time since the book is split up into several timelines.

If the storyline has only two timelines then it can be referred to as dual timeline, which is what I write. But it is still split time too.

Other names for this style include time slip, time jump, parallel timeline, multi-timeline, time split, etc.

HeatherW I think split time works, I sometimes use the term dual timeline. ☺️

Morgan Smith I agree. And I do use dual timeline for those with only two timelines. Thanks for weighing in!

Jo-Anne Duffett How do you differentiate between split time and time travel?
