I miss your reviews, but I believe I understand your decision. I’m glad you made an exception here, Holly.
I dropped out at that scene. In the hands of anything less than an expert writer, it is pron-ish. I wonder if someone like Chuck Palahniuk could have pulled it off, would have written the scene in a way that did not feel so amateurish and exploitative. I still would not have liked it, but I would have been able to find merit in the work in more adept hands.
