The Grishaverse is great. It’s probably one of my favourite book series ever, the writing is incredible and the characters all have great personalities. It’s YA fantasy, and it starts off with the Shadow and Bone trilogy, then moves on to the Six of Crows duology, then finally the Kjng of Scars duology. I read Six of Crows first though (as have many other people) and it was fine. I definitely recommend reading S&B before SoC though, just so it’s less confusing. There is very little romance, it’s definitely in the fantasy genre, not romantasy, so you don’t have to worry about that. SoC is my favourite of the series, with KoS a close second, but S&B is still enjoyable. (The first SoC chapter is a bit meh, but it gets sooooo much better, trust me). It’s an amazing series, I really recommend it.
Australian author Garth Nix could be a good fit. I’ve read a few of his series, short stories and standalones. Sabriel and its series is my favourite.
I've got a new YA book that could use some eyeballs: (and reviews!)https://www.amazon.com/Interns-Roland...
Leadership in Times of Crisis: A Journey of Responsibility 🛡️✨Book Title: The Confluence’s Daughter: The Bindings of Elorion (Book 1)
Author: A.J. Lorne
True character is often revealed when peace is threatened. This compelling story follows Seraphine Lacour, a reluctant leader who must find the strength to protect her people and restore harmony in a world facing a deep collapse. 📖🏔️
Key themes explored in this book:
🔹 Resilience: Finding the courage to lead after personal loss.
🔹 Duty & Integrity: Standing up for justice against those who seek power.
🔹 Accountability: The weight of making difficult decisions for the greater good.
A thoughtful read for anyone who enjoys stories about character growth and overcoming adversity. 🕯️📜
