Jamie Micah Hello—I'm Jamie Micah, author of The Empathizer, a dystopian literary satire exploring how ideological extremism (progressive and authoritarian conservative) follows identical structural logic.

Part One reimagines Poe's Masque of the Red Death, Part Two Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The protagonist is a classical liberal caught between two tyrannies—persecuted by both progressive authoritarians and right-wing extremists.

I write for readers who feel politically homeless. Not left, not right—exhausted by tribalism and skeptical of both poles. If you enjoy fiction that uses literary structure to critique ideology (think Roth's American Trilogy meets Orwell), this might resonate.

The book is self-published via KDP. I've also completed an audio series companion, so there's a multimedia angle if that interests you.

Happy to discuss the book, answer questions, or hear your thoughts on similar fiction exploring these themes.

Looking forward to connecting with readers here. Happy to answer any questions about the book or the themes it explores.

Abby Goldsmith Sounds like it’s up my alley. Added to my tbr list.

Thanks for checking out my reviews!

I’m also an author, and my dark scifi hive mind series is all about tribalism, collectivism, individualism, and the forms freedom should take.

Jamie Micah Thank you so much, Abby—that means a lot. And I'm genuinely intrigued by your dark sci-fi series. Tribalism, collectivism, individualism, the forms freedom should take—those are exactly the philosophical territory The Empathizer is exploring, just through a dystopian literary satire lens.

What's the premise of your series? I'm always looking for fiction that takes these questions seriously rather than just using them as backdrop for plot. It sounds like you're doing that.

Abby Goldsmith Thanks, Jamie! My series is hard to pitch, but you can find it on all platforms, including Audible. The first book is Majority (Torth Book 1).
