B needs coffee Thank you Sean! I’ll start this new page off for you. I’m B, a mother of 4 and Mimi to 3. Retired nurse from the Deep South. Love mysteries and thrillers. As a member of AGT for over months, I’m always happy to be here with fellow thrill seekers.

message 3: by Sean (new)

Sean Peters (A Good Thriller) Thanks B.

message 4: by PamG (new)

PamG Thanks for the introduction and getting us started here, B.

message 5: by Lesle (new)

Lesle Deep South B?
Sounds like a lovely area!

I am plain "Grandma" my Mom was "MeMaw" I actually love Grandma and Grandpa nick names. Especially when the kids pick it for you!

My oldest Grandson called me "RaRa" which I adored. Till it started coming out correctly as "Grandma"
I said something to Brayden once that I missed him calling me "RaRa" he looked at me like I was crazy! 🙃

message 6: by B needs coffee (new)

B needs coffee Yes ma’am I’m a southern belle so to speak. Loved growing up here, but having the hot, humid summer heat..not so much. Here grandmothers are nicknamed Memaw, Mawmaw, and Mimi.

˜”*°•.˜”*°• Sheri •°*”˜.•°*”˜ Also a retired nurse from the south, NC, 30 miles from Charlotte. Maybe not the "deep" south but people say I have a distinct southern accent. My grandchildren call me GiGi because my grandson in Mississippi couldn't say anything else and grandma came out GiGi for a while and the other 3 picked it up. Dreading the humidity and the biting and stinging bugs that love to attack me in the summer.

message 8: by Lesle (new)

Lesle Nice to meet both of you and fellow Grandma's!
I am north of both of you and been told I have a softer version of the Appalachian twang! lol whatever that means.

I honestly, Sheri, cannot wait till Spring! I will grump no matter what the weather is and the bugs that are bugging me :)

But I really am not a fan of the cold that we have had this winter.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I like the different names different countries and regions have for grandparents. Mawmaw, Memaw and Mimi are great.
My own grandmother was a little tiny Irish woman who was called 'Tank' by her eight grandchildren. She was going to be 'Granny', but one of my older cousins called her 'Granky' when she was little and that evolved into Tanky and then Tank by the time we came along. We didn't think it odd and she didn't seem to mind :)

Nico I have one question how can I answer specific messages in this chat or do I have to repeat the message that I what to answer to?

message 41: by Lesle (new)

Lesle Nico are you using a phone app?

If so I think you just make a comment. Maybe repeat a little of the comment your replying to.

Using Website actually comes with so many more short cuts!

message 42: by PamG (new)

PamG Nico wrote: "I have one question how can I answer specific messages in this chat or do I have to repeat the message that I what to answer to?"

Nico, If you're using the website and not your phone, you can click on "reply" of the applicable message.( It's in the lower right section at the end of the message.)
