I'm the only one in my group that didn't care for this. I feel like I missed something. Is there some false narrator stuff going on?
I think it’s just a very strange story that blossoms into mythology and surprisingly (disappointingly?) ends in reality. I liked it. I’m not familiar with the phrase false narrator.
It's when the narrator is lying to the reader. Like in Lolita. - I thought maybe this was actually the narrators false cover story or something and she actually had killed him herself, or arranged it somehow
Ok gotcha. Yeah I think that’s a possibility. I just read it all as being pretty surreal, and open to interpretation. Did you read their book Chouette? I loved it, it leans a lot more into these elements.
