Interesting little side note:. It occurred to me that it was unlikely to be coincidence that there are two women writers named Ephron, Nora and Hallie. So I looked them up and yes they are sisters. AND there are two more Ephron sisters, Delia and Amy, and they are also writers. And all of them survived a childhood with two alcoholic parents with their creativity intact.
I just finished it and Vanessa was referred to as doing “post doc” work so I think she’s already got her PhD… But then I have to wonder, if her mom is 46, how young she was when she had Vanessa cuz to have already gotten a PhD? She’s in her mid to late 20s at least? Not sure if the book made that clear anywhere.
