I keep hearing about this book and yes, am one of those people who haven't read it yet. I heard it's good on audio, so I have it on deck for my next listen. I keep hemming and hawing over starting it because I worry it'll be a bit too "book clubby" for me, but your review/perspective makes me think I will enjoy it nonetheless.

Wendy, I had the same concerns. But this author has written a nicely convincing narrative about a complex woman and she won me over.

This novel so got on my nerves. The main character was so annoying.
