Is this one in a series or can it be read as a standalone?

It is the third book in the Nightmare Saga series! However, it's not strictly necessary to read the series in order, because they each feature a new set of lead characters with their own adventures.
You'll get the broad overarching story better if you read them in order, but if you want to start with "Wild Hunt," it will not be I who will stand in your way XD
