Lovely review, Berengaria & a great theme for a spooky collection 💚

Indeed! Railway themed things are a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to reading the British Library one about haunted media next!
These all sound pretty good-to-fabulous to me, Berengaria! Even the "too '70s pulp" tale and the "minorly interesting Sherlock Holmes" type story - both rating only 2 stars! OR it could just be the wonderful way you have with words, and I'll end up 2-star tolerating them as well, but I'd like to get ahold of a copy to find out 💛🧚♀️🙋🏼.
Drat! You are slowly turning me into a short-story enthusiast. I’m going to flag this one up, though I have no idea when I might read it.

This series of weird tales from the British Library has a good number of volumes to it. Perhaps there is another that would interest you more than railways?
I'm planning on reading:
The Night Wire and Other Tales of Weird Media
Spectral Sounds: Unquiet Tales of Acoustic Weird
Heavy Weather: Tempestuous Tales of Stranger Climes
but there are plenty more that various editors have selected out of the more obscure tomes, newspapers and journals in the British Museum.

Uh oh! 🫣😆 I'm looking to read more in this series. If you refer to my comment to Valerie above, you'll see some more of the weird/uncanny volumes in this British Library series. There are a good number.
