Stacey B Hi.
Many of us enjoy seeing what others are reading. Instead of choosing a specific genre, we’re going to try something a little different.
For April, please nominate the next Jewish-themed book you are planning to read.
We will accept six to eight nominations. As always, authors may not nominate their own books. I will be vetting books to make sure they are appropriate for all members of the group. Optimistically thinking, this could spark more discussion and introduce one another to meaningful reads.
Looking forward to seeing your nominations!

Jill..
Whoops, my mistake. I thought it was Eli Sharabi and remembered this one came out. Went back to double check.

Deena I am admittedly very not good at reading along, but I will nominate one anyway - I don't think it has been read by this group (apologies if I'm wrong!!)

I nominate The Talented Mrs. Mandelbaum, by Margalit Fox. It was published in 2024, so hopefully fairly available.

Ah Deena, Thank you.
Even though you feel like you don't "read along", you are great with participation. I dont always read the winning books at the time they're chosen. Not sure this one has won; maybe nominated, but that doesnt matter. Going to check.

Hi Raymond.
Thank you for nominating in the group. You and Kerry have good taste as you both nominated the same book. Hers was the fourth one. We need more nominations. Would love it if you would choose another one.

Kerry Pickens Raymond you might like the Jewish Lives series book on Irving Berlin by James Kaplan, or David Lehman’s A Fine Romance. They are both about the same group of composers as the book on Stephen Sondheim.
