What you said about the narrator is so true! I listened to a preview on Audible.com and, while I like DR's Lady Julia Grey, I don't know if I can get past this horrible narration.
I'm listening to it, too, and had a similar reaction when the narration started. She's growing on me a little, but I could certainly imagine a better reader out there.
