it's so cool that Harry Potter and Lord of the rings are so similar! I've read HP and LOTR cross overs and it is shocking knowing that there are so many mysteries in each book and it BLOWS MY MIND!!! do you ever get that feeling when you read books that are so similar??!!
Absolutely. I love Tolkein 's world building and how he incorporated Saxon and Celtic mythology in his writing. HP had great world building also, and she incorporated many mythical creatures in her writing.
I personally love Celtic mythology. It's much more interesting than the Greco Roman stuff you learn about in school.
I don't agree. First, Harry and Bilbo are very different. Harry is a special chiled and have to fight evil while Bilbo is a normals person who exedently steped in to an adventure. Also, the hobbit and the LOTR are jurney books and HP is a school book. The LOTR has a clear begining and a clear end with no stops while in the harry poter series every book has a half end and the plot kind of repeat every book. (I don't say it's a bad thing, it's just the structure of the series).
