𝓢𝓾𝓷𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓶‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ {COMMENT LIMIT} TW - Bl00d and sickness

Okie so my book is largely about Greek mythology and faeries and giants! Anyway, so below is a hamadryad! If you wanna learn more i can tell you about em!!!!

Prologue - CHRYSANTHEMUM
Crimson drops stained the grass next to me. No, not crimson. That’s not the color of my blood. My blood is green. Green, not grass green, but dark, muddied green.
And as I sit up to cough, the green blood pours out of my throat. I rub my eyes, the sensation of my knuckles digging in to my eye sockets is soothing. One of the girls sleeping next to me stirs, Lilly, the one that Dahlia doesn’t like. Dahlia. Where is she? What is that faint blue glow doing there… it’s as if one of the gods has landed on our soil. I open my sticky eyelids and peer out into the sky blue meadow. The darkness conceals her, but I would know the swish of her hair from anywhere. (Shoot i forgot what god visits… so imma update this later lol)

𝓢𝓾𝓷𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓶‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ {COMMENT LIMIT} OK FOUND IT!!!
This is continuing the last one but there is d3ath in this one!

I see Dahlia approach Atropos, her pale hand reaching out towards the blue figure in front of her. Suddenly, I see all the Fates surround me, one of them holds a string, the others also hold items of their uses.
“Wait!” I try to scream, but my clogged throat stops me. The one holding my string tightly holds the scissors up, but with a sorrowful face.
“We are here to collect you, Chrysanthemum. I am afraid it is your time.” I swallow down nothing but air. I reach a hand out to her but she shakes her head. Craning my head back, I see Dahlia jump back and my friends on the hard dirt beside me.
And with a final scream, I’m welcomed by Hermes into the Underworld.

𝓢𝓾𝓷𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓶‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ {COMMENT LIMIT} The rain pours down,
The windows are cold
Chilly from the thing that once told
Me what was wrong
And what was right
The rain, it is always just a little too far,
Too out of sight

The snow trickles down,
And everything is cold
Chilly and freezing from the thing that once told
Me what was right
But also what was wrong
The snow, always too close or too far,
Or just out of reach

The sunlight reaches down,
And everything is lukewarm,
Warm from the thing that once told,
Me what was right,
And also what seemed wrong
The sun, always singing its beautiful song
And yet,
Out of sight

jellyousfish (hiatus till thursday!) I love the weather metaphor! It’s woven together so beautifully

𝓢𝓾𝓷𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓶‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ {COMMENT LIMIT} Some people laugh easy
Some people cry
Some people have feelings
Some people’s are dry
Some people are “normal”
Others don’t fit in
Some people are perfect
Some write notes for their next of kin

(Holy moly this was terrible)

jellyousfish (hiatus till thursday!) I think it was good! I like the repetition

Don’t say that. Every writer and poet has a period when they feel stuck. If you find this one terrible, it probably means you have truly beautiful poems. I think it’s actually a very nice poem. Even if it may lack a bit of depth, the repetitions and emotional metaphors are quite beautiful.

𝓢𝓾𝓷𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓶‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ {COMMENT LIMIT} you guys are all great, thanks for the support even when my work isn’t great
