Happy reading Rosh. ♥
Learn all the things you're not supposed to do. That's a great way to look at it. Sorry it wasn't better. Fabulous review as always, Rosh. 🤗💕
I’m sure it’s rather easy to get fascinated by the dogs and ignore the red flags! It happens! Sorry this had you questioning your younger self lol… hopefully your next book will be a bit more redeeming. Fantastic review.
A children’s book but all the characters seem so underwhelming 😓 At least we have the dogs, haha. Great review, Rosh 💕
That's problematic regarding consent and the soldier's behavior. It’s fascinating that the comic version tried to give the princess a voice... even if it was 'fake satisfaction.' It’s funny how our childhood brains just completely filtered out the 'red flags' as long as there were cool dogs involved haha. Amazing review, Rosh<3
I love that your younger self was too enamored with the dogs to care about the rest of the story. I'm sure I was guilty of that if the book had anything to do with horses! Sorry this reread didn't work and helpful review!
Present-me is convinced that Past-me was so fascinated by the dogs that she ignored all the other red flags.
Lol, I would have wanted to be friends with you when we were kids too, Rosh. I've never heard of this fairy tale.
Uh ohh... this sure didn't age well at all! I'm glad the comic version tries to make it better at least to an extent.
Great review, Rosh. 💖
So all you really remembered were the dogs? Hmm. I have the memory of a sieve, so I get that. And dogs are such bundles of joy that they can definitely make you see past a few red flags, I get that too. Still, such a shame rereading this one went so poorly. I wonder why the soldier who regains his wealth was made to be so completely unlikeable. Fair and honest review, Rosh.
