Jennifer Bradshaw These are search results for non-book items that need to be edited to be "invalid" one-by-one. It isn't possible to NOT A BOOK the authors because the author is generally "unknown author."

Elizabeth (Alaska) Choose any author who was publishing before about 1920 and filter the combine page for Leather Bound. About 99% of books in the result will be Invalid items.

Heh, I was the OP posting this to the Librarian's Group yesterday (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...). Didn't get a response.
I take it there's no way to batch-edit?! Surely this is a job for IT... Doesn't make sense to do it individually at all.
