Trilogy set by L.C.small first one Blood Bonds, then Binding Bloods then Eternal Bonds. A dark spicy vampire romance selection. Give them a go.
I am currently reading Skin of a Sinner from Avina St-Graves and I’m honestly shook! It’s giving trauma, girl! 🖤
KC wrote: "Idk if you’ve read it yet but ALCHEMISED by SenLinYu.Very thick, slow burn, and traumatic."Yes! I second this, although it is not traditional dark romance. But so so so good! I might cry again!!!!! 10/10 recommend
The Sigma Sin series! It is deliciously dark and full of possessive MMCs that are walking red flags! I’m about to start book 4.
Hi, the vampire dark romance trilogy starting with Blood Bonds by L.C.Small and The Rose of Blackwood by Lucia Small
Hi so this book is a dark romance but not like an actual dark romance, it gave me some trauma put its so good, it’s called ‘The LOST’ by Natasha Preston,I fell in love will her books and another great one is ‘You will be mine’
If you are looking for TRAUMA The Chronicles of Anna Monroe and Boston Marks. I am on book 4 of this series, no HEA yet but book 3 tore my heart apart. It is DARK! Lots of triggers, not necessarily a romance but it has me hooked.
I was recently recommended the Consequence series by Aleatha Romig.... first book you get to see all the trauma... the rest of the books are the characters trying to sort out those traumas to get to their HEA
Beautiful Prey and Haunted Prey by Lora Darc. Just read this duet and it was really good. Mental health, serial killer, but the emotion was high and lots of trama.
I second Red Rabbit and Darling Wildfire, pretty much everything by Devyn Rivers! I’m currently reading Wild Soul Rising and absolutely loving it! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Def recommend torment pt 1&2, under your scars, and the 24690 series. I’m only half way through the 24690 series but I’m obsessed and totally recommend. Also if you haven’t already I’d also recommend finishing off all books that touch the edge of darkness universe (psychotic obsession and little liar/little stranger)
Ok so, you gotta read the whole series to get to their story and, the series get more and more traumatic with each book/couple. It’s not technically in the “dark romance” category but… some of the things that happen in these books are dark af. Especially the last one. And very traumatic. So it’s The Boys Of Tommen series and the last book, Releasing 10… I’d say is probably one of the most traumatic books I’ve ever read in my life. (I’ve read the Edge of Darkness trilogy and Haunting Adeline, and those are traumatic for sure! But these books are more realistic imo.) It kinda ends on a bit of a cliff hanger, theee are more books to come!

Totally agree! I think this book is so underrated!
Lauren wrote: "I just finished my sweet dolly you have to love me. Broke me over and over"omg i read it as an arc and did that shit knock me over my head throughout i loved the agony it brought
Vee wrote: "24690 Trilogy by AA Dark"this series it has been on my mind for so long idk why i am searching for a perfect moment to start it maybe subconsciously ik it's gonna wreck me loll
24690 was pretty dark in my opinion, some awful things take place. Also under your scars but that does not have a happy ending.
Feathers So Viscous, and Shadows So Cruel. Stop whatever you are doing and read them NOW!!! Super dark, super twisty, it will make you cry and fall in love, and break you apart but in all the best ways. This is a 6⭐️ duet all day long.
I've got a book coming out soon (Book 7 in my Dark Mafia series Tangled Empires) and it deals with some very deep trauma. The heroine is imprisoned and tortured for a period of months in a cage and then left for dead. The story of the book is her recovery from trauma as she battles to recover her physical and mental health and trust in the man who saved her.
I'm sending out ARC details in March, if you'd like to read it then sign up to my free newsletter for full details. https://substack.com/@annahardingdark...
