Hi Team 9!!! I'm looking forward to a fun challenge. I have no clue what I am doing, but fortunately, neither does anyone else because it is new! lolI'm Kendra from Connecticut in the EST time zone. I'm a hockey mom of 3, although my oldest has aged out and doesn't play anymore-he just referees. It is a busy time of year.
I'm looking forward to strategizing with you all
Hello! I’m Pooja from the States, checking in. It’s been a while since I’ve played a big team challenge like this!I usually read about 1 - 2 books a week but can sometimes do more - I’m a pretty fast reader, just don’t always have the downtime.
I read pretty much any genre and have a giant TBR, so when it comes to task assignments I’m pretty flexible about what I end up with.
Hi everybody! I'm Jenn living in Minnesota. I generally work swing shift (2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.), but sometimes I get pulled to cover grave shift, which is the only reason I'm still awake at this time of morning today! I usually read 5-10 books a week, nearly all MM Romance. I already plan on probably using a Mulligan if we decide to read the Dark/Horror space -- those are really not my jam and I think I've read mostly everything I have on my Mount TBR that could fit those categories. Happy Thursday to you all -- time to get some sleep before work tonight!
Hi everyone! Glad to see there are other MM Romance readers here! That is all I read, so we will get along well! :-)
Hi Team 9!I'll be able to read approx 2 books a week -- it's a very busy time for me at work but this looked a fun challenge. I sometimes read MM but it's not my primary genre. Mostly contemporary romance/rom-com or mystery.
It looks like we're still missing C and Jane. Do we need to send them an invite? Both Pooja and I are GR friends with them, so we should be able to send invitations if needed
I'm a really slow reader right now, so I'm looking at 1 book a week. I'm hoping to get faster once the Olympics are over. 🤷🏼♀️
Hi everybody. I'm Jane from Denmark. I mostly read romance / paranormal / fantasy. Not really a fan of MM but will sometimes read if needed for a challenge.
I've been in a reading slump for a few months now so only read 3 books in February till now. My normal reading was 4-5 books a week so I'm hoping to get back there again.
Welcome!!! I'm sure we will figure it all out with books to read. Don't stress over it! I've been loving the Olympics!
Jane, I so feel you. I was getting 3-4 books a week and sometimes more. I feel like I'm barely a book a week; trying to get faster but this struggle bus has been bussing lol.Since the topic has come up, I read cozy clean romance. So I may have to take a mulligan when we do that task. 😬 I'm worried that I may run out of those, especially if I'm reading slowly. I don't like taking a pass just because I don't have a book.
I'm lucky enough to be able to record all the televised Olympics coverage but I don't have Peacock so not sure how much I'm missing (beyond the mixed doubles curling gold medal match!), but I'm absolutely loving being able to work and sleep and do normal life and not miss out. Although it is taking up my reading time. 😂
I was just looking at the categories, and Cozy Romance is a sub-genre listed for the Romance category, so go ahead and claim that! No Mulligan needed. LOLI just posted a spreadsheet in the Strategy thread. Take a peek and let me know if you have any thoughts or questions. And mark yourself for Cozy Romance! :-)
Oh yay, from the way everyone was talking I thought we all had to read the same thing! I don't understand this challenge super well yet. It sounds like a mix of Battleship and Connect Four.
I added myself for cozy fantasy and cozy mystery as well. I can pivot to fairy tale retelling on the fantasy, if someone else needs cozy though. If anyone needs ideas for the "house as character" book, I can recommend How to Survive a Horror Story! SO GOOD!! It is a little gory though. Yes, I know, I read cozies but then I go for gory horror. Don't question the logic! 🤣
That was a book I bought for the pretty edge, and oh my gosh it was just so fantastic!! I rarely get to rereads, but maybe I'll grab it for this challenge. Although I think I have another horror that would work, where it's Denver airport that is the character. 🤞🏻
I read both The House With the Haunted Heart and My Inherited House Might be Haunted last year and the houses were definitely their own...people.

For #28: Allies, I highly recommend His Quiet Agent -- one character is ace, the other demi. It's lovely and definitely can be considered "clean" LGBTQIA romance.
Hi Team 9, your teams google sheet is at the top of your groups main page under the team title. Here is another link.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

I'm planning to read Atmosphere for this, or a YA I got recently that is also MPG LGBT. :)
I’m definitely still having some trouble working out the rules of the game but I’m sure I’ll get a hang of things once we start. I always did learn better by doing! Just let me know what task to start on. Also, maybe I missed the post, but who is our captain or co-captains?
