Laura Oh - that is so neat - DNF because due back at the library ! I'm always jealous of folks who have the wonderful resource of a library - but I can see this might be the downside - having to share those resources. Hee hee ! As I can see, you took it in your stride.

Jennifer nyc I almost didn’t read this review, Alan, because of the DNF up front. I’m glad I came back—it was calling to me :).

Oh it often happens! Usually I can renew, or loan again later. The library is great (I would say that as an ex librarian), but clinging on here in the face of massive public spending cuts. About half of what I read I get from the library (35 ish books a year).

Yes this is well worth reading.

Laura Actually I had a similar experience recently - I was put on a list for a book loan from Internet Archive - and suddenly I was up, but there is only a 14 day loan period. Normally this is plenty of time, but I was in the middle of something else - something long. So I was in a panic (a small panic, I suppose, in the scale of things) to get done with one and onto the loan book. I think I must be a slow reader.

I hope your 4 star read comes around again and you can finish it - and write an update. :)
