Merging Editions > Likes and Comments

I just discovered I have multiple editions for several of my books.
I tried to merge these using

But it failed.
Please advise how to do this.

This request does not involve the adding of new books/new editions to the Goodreads database, so it is in the wrong folder.
Please move your topic to the correct folder Book & Author Page Issues by clicking the edit button next to the topic's title and picking the target folder from the pulldown list (only available for desktop/laptop, not in the app).
