Oh thank god it wasn’t just me that felt this way! I was starting to think I was reading a different book to everyone else.
Agreed! I was so excited to read this book since I loved the first one but I found it so hard to get through. Way too much repetition. I couldn’t wait to finish it so I could move on to something else.
I just finished and feel underwhelmed. I thought part 3 was going to be more exciting than it was, so now I'm left feeling disappointed and meh about the story.
And the jumping back and forth between time and characters was so confusing. I’m totally underwhelmed.
Agree about the unnecessary repetition - made it hard to read and the sentences didn’t seem to flow very well. I found myself having to re-read sentences frequently. Overall enjoyed the story and pace though!
OMG I'm not alone. I'm like WHY is she literally saying the same thing one sentence and then the next sentence the same exa6thinf but now with 3 extra words !!
So glad I'm not alone! Struggling to finish this. The first book was so good! The repetition in the sentences is unbelievably annoying! Just trying really hard to finish it now.
Yes! I was just telling someone that this was driving me crazy. Driving me crazy from the repetition 🤣
I am so disappointed with this sequel! Two stars for me and only finished to learn the conclusion.
Glad to see that others feel the same.
On every page the characters were reading peoples eyes and expressions and knowing what was in their minds. Just annoying and not possible.
Agree with the repetition. I didn't read the first book so I thought maybe that was this author's style but from these reviews, I'm guessing this is new. I can handle a little repetition and I understand it adds to the dramatic effect but it's too much on every damn page!!
