message 1: by Julie (new)

Julie Oh thank god it wasn’t just me that felt this way! I was starting to think I was reading a different book to everyone else.

message 2: by Amber (new)

Amber Mallonee Agreed! I was so excited to read this book since I loved the first one but I found it so hard to get through. Way too much repetition. I couldn’t wait to finish it so I could move on to something else.

message 3: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Speck I just finished and feel underwhelmed. I thought part 3 was going to be more exciting than it was, so now I'm left feeling disappointed and meh about the story.

message 4: by Patrice (new)

Patrice And the jumping back and forth between time and characters was so confusing. I’m totally underwhelmed.

message 5: by Peggy (new)

Peggy Ditto

message 6: by Nancy (new)

Nancy young I agree! I thought it was a money grab by the author.

message 7: by Carrie (new)

Carrie Wenner Agree about the unnecessary repetition - made it hard to read and the sentences didn’t seem to flow very well. I found myself having to re-read sentences frequently. Overall enjoyed the story and pace though!

TJ ❤️ books OMG I'm not alone. I'm like WHY is she literally saying the same thing one sentence and then the next sentence the same exa6thinf but now with 3 extra words !!

message 9: by Natarez (new)

Natarez repetitions were annoying

message 10: by Andi (new)

Andi Yes I do not remember this style in her first book. It was so annoying

message 11: by Caren (new)

Caren Bennett The repetition was making me crazy!

message 12: by Becky (new)

Becky So glad I'm not alone! Struggling to finish this. The first book was so good! The repetition in the sentences is unbelievably annoying! Just trying really hard to finish it now.

message 13: by Allison (new)

Allison Hofmeister My thoughts exactly

message 14: by Amy (new)

Amy Copeland Yes! I was just telling someone that this was driving me crazy. Driving me crazy from the repetition 🤣

message 15: by Aleksandra (new)

Aleksandra Right??!!

message 16: by Alli (new)

Alli Stroud The repetition was over the top. 3 stars for me

message 17: by Marjorie (new)

Marjorie I am so disappointed with this sequel! Two stars for me and only finished to learn the conclusion.
Glad to see that others feel the same.

message 18: by Jason (new)

Jason Sobin Agreed

message 19: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Allen Rage reading! I have never heard it put like that. But yes that was what I did too. lol

message 20: by Mary (new)

Mary Agreed..it was a drag, liked the prequel though

message 21: by Carol (new)

Carol Block Very disappointed. I skim read it just to finish.

message 22: by Barbara (new)

Barbara On every page the characters were reading peoples eyes and expressions and knowing what was in their minds. Just annoying and not possible.

message 23: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra Sparks Agree with the repetition. I didn't read the first book so I thought maybe that was this author's style but from these reviews, I'm guessing this is new. I can handle a little repetition and I understand it adds to the dramatic effect but it's too much on every damn page!!

message 24: by Mike (new)

Mike Not only was there repetition. There was repetition. Repetition that repeated. And repeated some more. Repeatedly.
