the poll: Hello from Ashland where I'm on a writing retreat and really excited about the progress I'm making on THE PICCADILLY RECKONING. I had so much fun with the scene i wrote yesterday! My daughter Mélanie and I recently also recently took a day trip to the Pelican Inn that I used as the inspiration for the fictional Pelican Inn where Laura and Raoul's romance begins. Going there is always like stepping into the Rannoch world. Mélanie made a video of images from the inn https://www.instagram.com/reel/DT6oQqYiecf/ Which brings me to a question as we head into Valentine's week. We don't see the start of every romance in the series, but of those we do see, which is your favorite - and why? Write-ins welcome and do comment! > Likes and Comments

Jermey Roth has always been one of my favorite characters and I had been hoping for him to find someone to share his life. With the complications of a "missing" wife, I knew that story would have to be resolved before he could move forward. With Judith, I think he has found someone who will both challenge and support him especially as they come from such different backgrounds. Like all the couples in the series, I'm sure they will have many ups and downs, but they will do it together.

Love reading these thoughts! I always knew I wanted Jeremy to find love again, but I was well into the series before I settled on Judith. I realized pairing him with a "beau monde princess" would challenge so many of his assumptions and open all sorts of story lines. Which it has!
I love Jeremy and Judith because their love affair started right under the noses of the “observant” former spy’s. So fun!
