I think a quiet type could be a winner if you add other, appealing characteristics.
I never see anything I say as advice! Just thoughts.
Usually, I write the best friend as the quirky, snarky one.
Anna, thoughts certainly appreciated. No doubt I'll come to my own conclusion as all us authors will do, but sometimes getting a different perspective helps.
D, I like the "sidekick" as quirky, snarky. I think I might be doing that unconsciously.
