Pretty sure it’s available on Britbox. I know I watched it there but it was a couple of years ago.

Found it on YouTube! I'm good.

Ruth Goodman has written several excellent books detailing life and conditions for ordinary folk in past eras. The one about the change from wood burning to coal burning in homes was very enlightening.
Yes. Hair-raising. I choose to believe it was not a tradition but a one-time act of a deranged individual. Until the documentaries (rather works of historical scientists) prove me wrong.
Does this mean you are researching this time period for something you are writing? Totally nosy, but I can’t resist asking.

The year 1500 in our world is fairly close in terms of technology to the World of the Five Gods in the time of The Curse of Chalion and Paladin of Souls, as I understand it. It’s more advanced than in Penric’s time, but might have some relevance anyway.

Not at the moment, but more general background never hurts.

I watched all the farm series on places like amazon prime/tubi War farm is currently available on tubi at least as i saw the ad there
Go to YouTube and search for Tudor Monastery Farm. Goodreads won't let me post the link, but that should do it.
What Ann said - these shows are all in full on Youtube, decent quality. :) I love the Tales from the Green Valley!
