Thanks so much, Robert. Someone just sent me this and I so appreciate it. I tried hard to give each of the characters a heartbeat and to make the story a journey of hope. Here's the scary part, though, and I don't mean it as a criticism of your wonderful review, but as a commentary on our times: that in these tough times something hopeful can be construed as sentimental.
