Tim Rees My memoir/novella, The Falklands Engagement, is now a finalist in The 2025 Chanticleer Hemingway Award. When I was informed, as A British author, I quickly researched the award and found it does carry a little weight in the USA, but wondered what it means to the general readership in the States? - 100% of my sales and KU page reads for all my novels have been in the UK for the month of January, but would love to see my readership expand into the USA.

Joseph Anderson They're out of my home town of Bellingham, WA. I entered a VERY rough draft of a book idea once and made it higher than I expected (not sure what this means). I've opted not to use this in promotional material.
I also hired editors from their service six years ago. Very helpful at the time. They're heavily involved with Villagebooks, which is a productive place in Bellingham for learning and promoting authors, didn't see it as an international resource, but hey...maybe it is.

Tim Rees Thanks, Joseph. That's informative. The Hemingway award... It's sounds great when you say it out loud, but I did suspect it doesn't mean a lot to Americans. In the UK no one has heard of it :)

Good luck with your projects.
