Lindsay Marie Oh my gosh, so many great recent reads! The Lies We Whisper, Beyond the Truth, by Sophia Zane and Bound Together by Ashley Pearce were amazing. I highly recommend all three—just a heads-up that Beyond the Truth is a very emotional psychological thriller.

Luca Evola it is virtually impossible for new authors like myself to reach their ideal audience. If you’d like to email me at lucaevola@protonmail.com I will send you my free ebook, and then if you sincerely enjoy this book I will personally mail you a hard copy. Be warned though that this beautiful and despairing romance is sexually explicit, heartbreaking, fear-based, and creatively theosophical. I invite you, Emily, and each of you to experience this most aesthetic Cinderella-like love story detailing this beautiful struggle and relentless passion between two strangers in this epic multiracial romance. Arabala has taken me six years to complete between working tirelessly and also trying to provide for my family. I hope that some of you find this extremely mystical and expressive novel intriguing to say the least. And in advance I thank you all for any words that you can gather in leaving me a review, and in sharing what you have discovered, with others, as it will be to me a great kindness.
Yours truly
Luca Evola

mari booksss The Shadows Between Us and The Darkness Within Us are some of my faves!! There's also a brazilian book (i don't know if there is a translated version) that is called O Beijo da Neve, it's about ice skating and enemies to lovers, i loved it!
I don't know if you've heard about Lightlark also; the first book is kinda mid but the rest is amazing! my cr is the novella grim&oro, i'm loving it!
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is also a must read! I read the whole series (except for the last book) in 2018-2019, and it was incredible!! it's nothing like the movie (the movie is soo bad compared to the book!)
Anyways, I hope you like my recommendations!!

Kemma MarShall Esther’s hands trembled as she struck a match against the stove. The small flame flickered weakly in the dim light. But there was no hesitation as she let it fall, dropping the match onto the fuel-soaked floor. Hymns of Blue Hollow: An Epic 1940s Southern Historical Romance Saga • A Book Club Favorite

message 20: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Shyu Hi! I published DUSK in September for upmarket fans of genre-bending speculative fiction like Three-Body Problem, The Candy House, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, etc. At its heart, this is a story about identity, ambition, sacrifice, and regret.

Also, I'm currently reading D-Day Girls and LOVE it if you're into historical!

To be honest I didn't think The boys of Tommen wasn't actually too upsetting (This is just my opinion) and thought things like if I had told her and if he had been with me were sadder and also You've reached sam

message 22: by Sasha (new)

Sasha I started this year reading A Gap In The Sky and love it!

It's about a young woman (single mum) starting a new life on a little island in Scotland. She is quiet and introspective, an artist, but really is involved in serious art foraging and smuggling although involuntarily. Its both psychologically deep and also witty and humorous, questioning choices we make, memory and how life turns to be different to our expectations

message 23: by J.A. (last edited Jan 21, 2026 05:15AM) (new)

J.A. Bowler You could my first book in the Ice Cooper trilogy! Ice Cooper and the Depton Shadelings It's a quick read but part of a larger arc and the final book will be out in March. The story weaves supernatural elements with pressing contemporary issues. It centres on a young female MC (Ice Cooper) grappling with extraordinary perceptions in a world teetering on ecological collapse. Hidden truths and ancient forces collide with human greed and environmental peril!

message 24: by Bri (new)

Bri Styles If you’re open to something emotionally intense and very character-driven, you might like my new book Monsieur Monster.

It follows a woman who slowly realizes she’s in a relationship that’s quietly unraveling her sense of self—and the story focuses just as much on her internal awakening and healing as it does the relationship itself.

It’s not fast-paced or trope-heavy, but it is very honest, reflective, and grounded in real emotional experience.
